Hi, my name is Sara and I'm a fully qualified Doula.
I trained with the BirthBliss Academy based in Leeds.
I offer support to women during pregnancy, labour and the early weeks after giving birth.
I'm fully insured, DBS checked, and registered with Doula UK.
If you've never heard of a Doula before, please have a look through my pages and if there's anything you want to know about my services, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
I cover Doncaster, Sheffield, Rotherham, and most other areas of South Yorkshire.

Before I became a Doula I was a registered childminder for 10 years, but then took a break to help care for my husband who became registered disabled after a horrific motorcycle accident that wasn't his fault.
My children are now grown and I wanted to get out in the working world again. This time I wanted to help women. What better way to help a pregnant mother than to help her enjoy her pregnancy and give her the tools to help herself?
Being a Doula I can support pregnant women and their partners through pregnancy, labour and in those precious early weeks after birth.
I have had a single hospital birth, a home birth and then back to hospital for a multiple (twin) birth with one baby born breech.
I was lucky enough to twice be my eldest daughter’s birth partner, and was there when both my grandson and granddaughter were born.
In pregnancy, we learn how our bodies change and how to keep ourselves healthy, so diet advice, relaxation techniques, meditation and preparation for labour are all part of what I offer.
In labour I can be there to help support mother and partner.
Having a Doula can help shorten labour, reduce the chance of caesarean section, and reduce the need for drugs.
I can be there to help with breathing, massage, or just offer support.
I can also be the one who runs out for drinks and food etc., so that the partner never has to leave the mother’s side.
In the early weeks after giving birth, I can help with breastfeeding advice, bathing the baby, even looking after baby whilst the new mum can have a bath or take a nap.
I can also turn my hand to shopping, cooking, ironing or anything else that can help make life easier.
If anyone would like more information, please send me a message from my contact page. I can't wait to hear from you.
